RE-Imagine yourself on the WEB

Posted by: admin

I have been reading the book "Re-Imagine" by Tom Peters. Tom talks about how things change quickly and how businesses have to be flexible and constantly re-inventing themselves to meet the changing environment.

For websites and online marketing this is an important concept , all businesses should constantly be looking at how to re-imagine themselves via the web - This means redesigning your online branding presence , collaborating with customers via toolsets like review forums , blogs , advertising your services with social networking tools like facebook , flickr.

All new changes start with a overall online marketing strategy that needs to tie with your businesses overall business goals and services. I recommend the following ideas to build your online strategy

  • Make sure you have a clear overarching branding and marketing strategy that can carry over to your online business
  • Develop a clear view of your customers and services so you can segment your marketing plan
  • Start small with marketing changes such as a facebook page , flickr pictures of your product
  • Use tools such as google analytics to see how the changes are performing
  • Solicit customers for comments with maybe a free consultation or  a small gift - This will give you a very good sense of how your initial marketing efforts are performing
